We previously had a bug problem, which wasn’t resolved the first time around when we had hired a different pest control company in 2021. I suspected that we still had them 4 months after the last treatment, so I called around to get help in June of last year. Every pest control company I called, quoted me a price and the earliest date they could come out for them treatment. However contacting Local Pest Control was a completely different experience.

The very first question Chris asked me was if I’d actually found any bugs, something that none of the other pest control companies I called had asked. He then told me in order for them to treat our home, we needed to see a bug, as the pesticides should only be used when these pests are present. He took his time to explain to me where to go, what to buy, and where and how to install them to catch these buggers, and to contact him if I physically found one. Even when I thought I had one and took a photo, he told me that wasn’t it. Until sadly this year about 2 1/2 weeks ago I caught one.

He scheduled the treatment right away within 24 hrs, and took his time to go over the do’s and dont’s before and after the treatments. He patiently listened and answered all my questions (even the repeated ones, thank you Chris!).

I think most pest control companies don’t realize that dealing with pests creates so much stress and anxiety for people like me and my family, and to be able to guide clients through such traumatic experience itself is a unique skill that Chris at Local Pest Control has definitely mastered. His honesty and the fact that unlike the other companies, he didn’t see us as a cash grab opportunity first when I contacted them, had us completely trusting them.

Mike was our very knowledgeable technician and carried out both treatments. He patiently listened and went out of his way to explain everything again. He called us both times after the treatments to explain what exactly had been done. He was very kind and understanding of our stress and anxiety. Chris is very friendly and helpful – he responded to all of my questions via text or phone call in a timely manner.

The technician Leandro was also very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend these guys because they’re personable and knowledgeable! My only complaint was that I think there were a few miscommunications – I was told beforehand that everyone in my apartment needed to evacuate for 6 hours even though we were only treating my bedroom, but when the technician arrived, he informed me that, in fact, I only needed to vacate the bedroom and we could safely hang around in the other rooms of the apartment. I was also told that the technician would arrive promptly at 8am, but then the day before treatment I received an email stating they would arrive between 8-10am. He ended up showing up around 8:30, which was not a problem for me, but it could have been an issue if I had somewhere to be after 8.

All in all, this was a great service and God forbid I ever get bed bugs again, I would definitely call these guys!

Leandro was professional, efficient, friendly, and polite. He also speaks Spanish so he could explain better everything for us, we feel more safety now, after he detailed look at all the places with patience, we need to wait two weeks for properly clean, but everything looks fine. We are really thankful. I absolutely recommend him!
